Single Malt Whisky

Scottish malt whisky is made from malted barley, water and yeast. First stage of production is the malting of the barley were it's steeped in tanks of water for 2 to 3 days. It is then spread out on the floors of the malting house to germinate. To stop germination, the malted barley is then dried in a kiln, like the the pagoda shaped structures show here.
Hector McDram

"A story I will tell you...

The saga of how the water of life was handed down through the mists of time. Listen well and mark my words, as I tell you of the dew of Ben Nevis. Remember what I say and you will be rewarded this very day.

My name is Hector .......

Legend tells of the Scottish giant Hector McDram who shaped the valleys and mountains of Ben Nevis with his bare hands. As he rested after his labours he brewed himself a relaxing drink made from a fresh water stream - when it happened, 'an accident, a mystery, a miracle, the work of the Gods... like dew from the heavens, water of life itself'.

Now you my friends... can enjoy the unique flavour and the distinctive taste of The Ben Nevis Scotch Whisky."
